My personal exploration with ceramics is based on form and repetition of movement. I am inspired when I think of the slow movement of the waves of the ocean, erratic and capricious. Clay is sometimes docile and it may seem amicable but it is vengeful if not treated properly, unpredictable. Through ceramics I explore the imprinting of movement on palpable forms, same as how the ocean imprints itself on sand and controls the movement and growth of all of its organisms.
